environment the role of university education is rapidly changing. In this
background, the OCU Media Center envisages to be the mainstay of the Osaka
City University which aims at providing education focussed at the needs
of the modern society. The OCU Media Center is a complex comprising of the
library and computational facility and aims at furnishing excellent educational
and research environment by integrating several in-house facilities using
the campus Local Area Network. Further, it also strives to provide the students
and researchers an Internet gateway and help promote global information
exchange and stimulate state-of-the-art research. The Center aims at becoming
an academic satellite that would foster international academic and cultural
exchange. The OCU media Center is a first step in the realization of a university
oriented towards the future. |
